SBA practice
Commit to an answer, then test your reasoning.
Give me five formative orthopaedic single best answer questions, one at a time. Hide the answer until I commit and explain my reasoning. Then explain each option and revisit my weakest topic with a new question.
Run a mock knee examination OSCE. Give me only the candidate task first. Wait until I say “done” before giving formative feedback on my sequence and explanation. Let me repeat the weakest section. Do not infer hands-on competence from my description.
Give me a fictional, text-described wrist X-ray case for finals revision. Guide me through a systematic read, asking one question at a time. Wait for my interpretation before explaining. Keep the case educational and clearly label it as fictional.
I am a medical student revising for orthopaedic finals. I have 10 minutes. Run a sprint on hip fractures: ask three questions, one at a time. Wait for my answer, explain my biggest gap and finish with a short recap. Flag uncertainty and do not invent references.
Rehearse a candidate task or spoken viva. Ask for feedback on your sequence, reasoning and missed points.
03 / IMAGING
+
Build a systematic read.
Work through educational imaging scenarios and text-described cases. Practise presenting findings and a reasoned interpretation.
04 / FOCUSED REVISION
↗
Make ten minutes count.
Ask for a topic sprint, a revision plan or a fresh question on something you missed. Save a summary to carry into your next chat.
These are formative study workflows, not validated assessments of competence. Check important answers and references against your curriculum and authoritative sources.

10-MINUTE SPRINT
A little time. A focused session.

OSCE REHEARSAL
Your next practice station.
Run a mock knee examination OSCE. Give me only the candidate task first. Wait until I say “done” before giving formative feedback on my sequence and explanation. Let me repeat the weakest section. Do not infer hands-on competence from my description.
IMAGING LAB
Read with a framework.
Give me a fictional, text-described wrist X-ray case for finals revision. Guide me through a systematic read, asking one question at a time. Wait for my interpretation before explaining. Keep the case educational and clearly label it as fictional.
VOICE VIVA
Find your voice.
Give me a five-minute orthopaedic viva in coach mode. Ask one short question at a time. Please wait until I say “done”. Then correct my biggest gap and test it in a different fictional case. Keep your responses brief.
REVISION PLAN
Give your next week direction.
Help me plan seven days of orthopaedic revision with 20 minutes a day. First ask about my weak areas and learning objectives. Mix retrieval, cases and review. At the end of each session, give me a short revision summary to copy into my next chat.

REVISION. OUT LOUD.
Meet your viva voice.
Practise finding the words. Not just remembering the facts.
Open OrthoSG in ChatGPT, select the Voice icon in the message bar and allow microphone access if prompted. Speak the voice-viva prompt above to begin.
Voice is a two-way spoken conversation. Dictation simply turns a recording into a text prompt. If Voice is unavailable, paste the same prompt and practise in text.
“Ask one question. Let me think. Then help me improve.”
“Slower”“Give me a hint”“Repeat”
Illustration only · Start Voice inside ChatGPT
Make space to think. Use headphones in a quiet place. Request a pause until you say “done”; interruptions can still happen. Correct misheard terms and use your own timer.
Know the limits. Custom GPTs use Advanced Voice, not ChatGPT Live. Upload availability varies; image generation, data analysis and custom actions are unavailable in GPT Voice. Check the transcript and verify important content. Source ↗
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Clear expectations. Better learning.
Is this an official medical-school resource?
No. OrthoSG is an independent educational resource for formative revision. It is not affiliated with a medical school or healthcare institution. Follow your own curriculum, local guidance and supervisors.
Can I use it for real patient care or an examination?
Use fictional or appropriately de-identified educational scenarios only. Do not enter patient identifiers, confidential records or restricted examination material. OrthoSG does not provide patient-specific clinical decisions, certify competence or replace supervision. Follow your assessment rules.
Will it remember my progress?
Do not rely on continuity across chats. Ask for a revision summary, check it, and manually paste it into the next conversation. Keep personal and patient identifiers out of that summary.
What if an answer seems wrong?
Ask the GPT to explain its uncertainty and provide a verifiable source. Check that the source exists and supports the claim. Use the feedback link below to report a problem without including sensitive information.
